Pairwise

A month-end close product, explained in isometric scenes

SaaS landing pageIsometric illustrationNext.js

Finance software is hard to picture. Month-end close means invoices, receipts and bank lines that have to be matched, checked and posted, and most products in the space explain it with a dashboard screenshot nobody can read.

I designed and built a concept page that shows the work instead. Paperwork flows along dashed paths into one hub and leaves as matched ledger entries, and every section, from the three steps to use cases, trust and integrations, has its own isometric scene. All 13 scenes are drawn on the server from an isometric kit I wrote for the page, so they ship as plain SVG with no JavaScript, and their motion pauses when they leave the screen.

The result reads like a product you could trust with your books: calm, precise and easy to follow from the first headline to the demo button.

Pairwise hero: ‘Close the month in a day.’ above an isometric scene of app tiles flowing along dashed paths into a navy reconciler hub.
Close-up of the Pairwise hero scene: app tiles for Gmail, Drive, Sheets and PDFs on dashed paths flowing into a navy reconciler hub, with matched-entry cards leaving on the right.
The hero in one picture: paperwork flows in on the left, matched entries leave on the right.
Detail of the isometric reconciler hub: a rounded navy block with the violet Pairwise mark, fed by dashed lanes of app tiles.
The reconciler hub, drawn as a real object with depth, light and a brand mark on its face.
Step 02, ‘Every line matched, with the evidence’: an invoice and a card linked across an isometric plate, beside three capability bullets.
Each step pairs a scene with the proof: here, an invoice and a card line matched in front of you.
‘One engine for every reconciliation’: four use cases, accounts payable, card spend, revenue and approvals, each with its own small isometric scene.
Four use cases, four small scenes, one visual system.
‘Fast is easy. Defensible is the point.’: three cards with isometric scenes for every match explained, exceptions first and bank-grade security.
The trust section turns audit, exceptions and security into objects you can see.
‘Plugs into the stack you already run’: a list of integrations beside an isometric board of finance-tool tiles around the Pairwise hub.
Integrations as a board of tiles around the hub, not a wall of logos.
Detail of the integrations board: NetSuite, Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, Stripe, Ramp, Brex and Plaid tiles around the Pairwise hub on a lilac plate.
Real partner logos set on the isometric grid.
The closing band: ‘Ready to close your next month in a day?’ with a Book a demo button beside the hub circled by orbiting app tiles.
The page closes where it started, on the hub, with one ask.

The decisions that made it work

01

Show the work, not a dashboard

Every claim on the page has a scene that shows it happening, so a finance lead understands the product before reading the copy.

02

One brand colour, isometric everything

Cool white, ink and a single violet, with every illustration built on the same grid, so thirteen scenes still feel like one product.

03

Fast without the JavaScript

The scenes are generated on the server as SVG and animated natively, so the page is fully static and the illustrations cost the browser almost nothing.
